Community guidelines

This is an outline for counsel and the trust and safety team. Bracketed items must be written or confirmed before release.

Be honest

• Share rent you actually pay, and documents that are yours.
• Use a real photo of yourself on a roommate profile.

Be respectful

• No harassment, threats, hate speech or sexual content.
• No discrimination based on protected characteristics. See the Fair housing statement.

Keep people safe

• Don’t share someone else’s address, phone number or documents.
• Don’t ask for money, deposits or payment details in messages.

No fraud

• No fake listings, stolen photos, scams or impersonation.

Reporting

• Report a person, a message or a listing from its menu. Our team reviews every report.
